Sugaring 101 — Everything You Need To Know About Sugar

We’re on a mission to make sugaring the #1 hair removal choice. But until then, here’s everything you need to know about it.

Yes, It’s Literally  just Sugar

Sugaring is called Sugaring because the primary ingredient is sugar.
Sugar is naturally hydrating, and when melted along with water and lemon, it achieves a wax-like consistency that you can warm up, apply, and then remove.
Our formulation includes added glycerin and natural colour for more hydration and an extra fun factor. We don’t include any fragrance, parabens, SLS, or anything that could make your skin or our planet hurt.

Sugar Anywhere You Want

Since sugaring doesn’t require high heat like wax, you can use it on areas that would normally be off-limits.
Sugar your legs, arms, pits, and even your 🐱!

How does Sugaring compare to other hair removal methods?

The choice is yours, but we think it’s pretty obvious.

10 reasons to choose sugaring And Ditch The razor

  1. Less painful than waxing: It only grabs hair, not skin— so no painful pulling.
  2. Hydrating: Sugar is a natural humectant, and we added glycerin for that extra skin love.
  3. Reduces hair density: Slows regrowth and hair thickness over time, so you sugar less.
  4. No sticky mess: Sugar is water-soluble, so spills disappear with a splash.
  5. No “accidents”: No burns, cuts, or irritation–just smooth sailing.
  6. Sensitive-skin approved: Even mild eczema can sugar.
  7. Eco-friendly everything: Reusable strips, recyclable packaging, and natural ingredients.
  8. Sugar on your schedule: Anytime, anywhere, no salon required.
  9. Extra smooth skin: Sugaring works as a natural exfoliant, removing dead skin cells for smoother skin and fewer ingrowns.
  10. Weirdly satisfying: Once you start, you won’t want to stop.

Sugaring for the first time? Here’s what you need to know:

Temperature:

Warm your sugar paste for 10 seconds in the microwave. It should feel comfortably warm, not too hot. The consistency should be flexible and easy to work with—think thick honey, not runny or too firm.

Prep:

Start with a clean canvas by washing your skin with ourAloe & Cucumber Cloud Cleanserto remove oils and dirt. Next, dust your skinlightly withSugar Dustto absorb any excess moisture, allowing the sugar paste to stick only to the hair.

Technique:

Apply the paste against the direction of hair growth, then remove it in the opposite direction, with the growth, parallel to the skin. Start with small sections and gradually work your way up to larger ones for a smoother, more efficient process.

Postcare:

Rinse off any leftover sugar with our Aloe & Cucumber Cloud Cleanser. Then, hydrate and soothe your skin with Skin Cravings Moisture Plunge for that extra dose of smoothness and calm. Your skin will thank you.
